About

Millennial British ExpatHej hej! Welcome to Swedish Cereal. I’m Est, a British expat, a millennial, and a freelance writer. Early 2016 and my husband’s work took us both from Bedfordshire in England to Linköping in South Sweden. Since then, I’ve marvelled at a myriad of cultural differences and nodded (unconvincingly) to Swedes lyricising in their native tongue. As you read this blog, I hope you have as many laughs as I do discovering the quirks of this understated land—a land inhabited by frolicking hares, wild wolves, and very, very tall people.

  1. Lovely to meet you Est! I once spent a few weeks in Linköping as hubby was working there at the time. I don’t really remember anything much about it though..

  2. Yeah, lol! It’s most known for the university and Saab Aircraft museum. There are some pretty spots around too but it’s more of a living and working city than a tourist one. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Sweden!
